For a professional qualification that will take you anywhere in the world, your career starts here in Accountancy. At both undergraduate and postgraduate level, our courses are designed to prepare you for the real world of rapid change, technological advancement and globalisation.

The programs offered by the School of Accountancy are accredited by professional accounting associations CPA Australia (CPA), the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA) the National Institute of Accountants (NIA), the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and RG146 by Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).

Students who complete the Superannuation and Wealth Management Minor in conjunction with an Accountancy Major will meet the Australian Securities and Investments Commission RG146 competency and skill requirements for Tier 1 financial advisers.

From semester 1 2010 the School of Accountancy will offer a Graduate Diploma in Business (Professional Accounting). This Graduate Diploma is designed for students who have a non accounting undergraduate degree and may provide the following pathways:

  • Associate membership of CPA Australia and entry into the CPA program; and associate membership of the National Institute of Accountants
  • entry to the Chartered Accountants Program of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia
