Career Summary
Prior to employment at QUT, Dr Sweeting has held various positions in private firms, including Auditor at Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co (now KPMG) and Financial Accountant at Dunlop Automatic & Industrial Group. John's academic experience includes Senior Tutor, Swinburne Institute of Technology (now Swinburne University of Technology); Visiting Academic at National Companies & Securities Commission (now Australian Securities & Investments Commission) and Lecturer at Central Queensland University. John's role as Subject Area Coordinator of the Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) sees him as the academic advisor for all students studying the professional accountancy major.
