Flexible course structure
With its flexible course structure, our Bachelor of Business gives you the core business skills, discipline-based expertise, and maximum flexibility to enhance your study options. This allows you to tailor your studies to suit your own needs and career aspirations.

The 24-unit degree comprises three distinct components:
- eight Business Faculty core units that all students undertake as a broad-based introduction to business principles
- eight units in your chosen primary area of study, also known as your primary major
- eight units in a second area of study, or multiple study areas - choose a second major, one or two minors, or select units across multiple areas of interest with up to eight electives from Business, or across the university.
Three easy steps to design your own degree
Step 1 - primary area of study
Choose one of our nine primary majors, each comprising eight units of study:
Step 2 - second area of study
After nominating your primary major, you can then choose other business study areas to steer your future career direction. You can add a flavour or emphasis to your business degree with a second study area. Choose from the following options:
- A Second Major (6 units) – choose from the nine primary major study areas, or four other specialised business areas, or a Language
- One or two Minors (4 units each) - choose from 24 study areas, including a language.
Step 3 - electives
Round out your course with a choice of up to eight electives in multiple study areas from Business, or across the university, including approved degree level overseas study tours. Your number of electives will depend on your second study area choice. The Faculty encourages you to consider taking an approved university minor from business or another faculty.
