Stazia Harding – Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) graduate
Working as part of a team in one of the world’s largest accounting firms, Stazia audits companies, private business, entrepreneurs and high net worth individuals.
“I conduct audits on financial statements, which involves examining financial records, documents and tangible assets. I get to observe the day to day running of the business to ensure that the necessary controls are in place and being followed, as well as make judgements with the guidance of seniors and managers on the accounting treatment of certain items. All this is conducted whilst keeping the client informed, every step of the way.
I hope to complete the Chartered Accountants program by mid-year 2009, after which I plan to use my skills learnt at QUT, the ICAA and real-life experience to travel the world as a Chartered Accountant.”
Stazia Harding secured a position in auditing with a major accounting firm before completing her Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) and now works for PricewaterhouseCoopers.
